Looking Up - Reaching Out - Caring Within

Small Groups

Small Group Ministries

The Church is meant to be both a group of people who work together to share God's love with the world and a support group for people trying to live a Christian life.

Reaching Out - Caring Within

To do all this people need to be connected to each other.  Most of the people that have been in our Church for some time are well connected.  With our coming growth we need to provide mechanisms to bring the new members in and connect them to the existing membership.  The development of a small group ministry is a way for our Church to remain small in the midst of growing larger.

With this in mind we are proposing the beginning of a Small Group Ministry.  That is smaller groups of people meeting in the comfort and familiarity of a member's home, with a more flexible structure designed to encourage interaction, sharing and fellowship.  There are several advantages to being a part of a small group:

1.  No one is lost or forgotten in a small group.  A small group is a place where people can pray together, learn together and grow in their faith together.  Small groups can be a vehicle to help all of us feel more connected to each other and to God.

2.  All of us have questions about life and want to know more about where we fit into "God's big picture".  A small group of 6 to 8 people can be a safe place to invite our friends who are also seeking these answers.  Our first small group is exploring the impacts of a Christian World View.
