Mission Statement: R.U.M.C. is to provide a loving welcome where
each child can experience the love of God, hear stories of Jesus, and
begin a life long faith journey. The following programs are the means
of achieving that mission.

Odyssey: ages 3 through 13
Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer Odyssey, ”One Room Sunday School”, invites all children ages 3 to 13 to meet upstairs in room 214, following the children’s sermon . During this time through story telling, drama, and hands on activities, Bible stories are brought to life as the children develop leadership skills and grow in their faith journey. Make a friend! Middle school and High School volunteers are welcome to assist. Parents can gather their children immediately following the service. This program is designed for non-readers, beginning readers, and mature readers. The spring quarter theme is; Remembering Jesus, Easter and a New Life, Paul Tells the Good News.

Young Children and Worship: Our early Childhood Sunday School for pre-Kindergarten (ages 3, 4, and 5) and kindergarten will be held in room 212. This program includes hands on experience into God’s wonderful world. Come and make a friend!

Rotation: Grades 1 through 3 meet your Shepherd, Mrs. Abercrombie in the Drama room (208-209) and sign in each Sunday. You gather for a mini opening message presented by Linda Klusendorf or Jenn Doty from Women’s ministry. Then travel to computer, art, science, cooking, games, or a story station. The unit theme lasts 4 to 5 weeks. and each lesson relates to the theme. The new remaining themes are: Love Your Enemies, Into the Bible-Easter People, The Boy’s Lunch, and Peace Makers.

Upper Elementary: Grades 4 and 5 will join teachers Dr. Naomi Stasak and Gerri Pollock in room 211 to learn to use your new Bible. The curriculum is Rock Solid, Building a Heart of Faith and includes hands on activities. Bring a friend, bring your Bible!
Just an Hour! Inviting all Middle School and High School Youth to an all new program. A calendar of events is ready for your use. Join a team at 10:15 a.m. in the Wesley Library next to the Fellowship Hall. Come as you are to worship, and bring a friend or two. Each Sunday will have a different flavor: Guest Speakers, Breakfast at Masonic Temple (the second Sunday of each month), field trips, local mission work, guest Teachers, live Music, and church leadership opportunities will be ready for your participation. Winter through Spring curriculum themes include: Love Your Enemies, Into the Bible- Easter People, The Boy’s Lunch, Peace Makers, and Our R.U.M.C. History.
