1st Scripture Reading – Psalm 100
A Psalm of thanksgiving.
1 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him; bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever
and his faithfulness to all generations.
2nd Scripture Reading – Colossians 3:12-17
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another and, if anyone has a
complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also
must forgive. 14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in
perfect harmony.
15And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were
called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and
admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and
spiritual songs to God. 17And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
